Scientists sport white killer whale off Alaska
Nobody ever believed that a white killer whale actually exsists, yet researchers and the ship's crew mates couldn't believe there eyes when they actually spotted one. It was believed to be a "mythical creature" researchers stated, and had been said to have been seen only once in Aleutians years. Researchers also said that it really stood out, due to the whale being so white. When the researchers had time to better observe the whale, research showed that the whale was not only white, but a subtle yellowish and brownish color. Due to the coloration of the whale, scientists have a hard time believing that it is an albino whale. Although there seems to be no significance sinse killer whales don't play a vital role in the human way of life, I find this article significant due to the fact that endangered species are dying out rapidly.
