Infants from obese mothers have higher mortality risk, found in a recent report in the journal of obstetrics and Gynecology. They stated if you are obese and are thinking of becoming pregnant, or already are, that you may have a higher risk of having your infant die soon after birth. The article states this reason is because premature infants are less protected from maladies, it doesn't say whether or not the same applies to others whom aren't premature. So basically a healthy pregnancy, is almost always a good one. So if your obese, you should probably consider losing a couple of inches and getting into shape before considering children.
