A crackle noise echoed through the woods as the oversized, clawed, hairy monster sniffed the ground. The man gulped in fear of being found as he kept slowly and softly keeping out of sight. The animal sniffed the ground some more, starting to become impatient. As the man began to realize the animal was getting closer, he began to sweat as he kept hiding from tree to tree. He searched for a tree he could climb, testing out each branch. He looked off in the distance. There in front off him he found the perfect place to get away. A cave. But it was too far, and there werent that many trees to keep hiding behind. He'd have to run for it. For a second he almost did, but his inner thoughts and fears stopped him. What if the creature saw him? He surely be dead meat then. But if he didn't run for it, he'd be dead meat anyways. So what is there to lose really. He started breathing harder and harder as sweat slowly slid down the tip of his nose, down his neck. He wiped his forehead and picked up a rock. He pulled back his arm and threw the rock as far as he could in the opposite direction of where he was going to run to. The bear animal lifted its head immediantly as it started to head towards where the rock hit. The man dropped his belongings and ran for the cave. Nothing was stopping him now. He ran and ran as hard and as fast as he could possibly go, not even looking behind. All he could feel was the cold air flowing against him and his heart pumping, throbbing. He made it. When he got inside the cave he searched for a place to hide. He found a rock in the darkness provided by this savior, this cave. The animal lost track of him, the man was saved. At least for the time being.
